Hank the Handsome Monster
Whenever Hank presents himself
To children for a scare,
They yawn and slowly walk away,
They hardly know he's there.
His nose is straight, his skin is smooth,
He only has two eyes.
And children just ignore poor Hank
No matter what he tries.
He strains to make an ugly face,
But fails at even that.
Foul ghouls and witches shun him too,
And worse, the witch's cat.
If only he'd a wart or two,
A pointy nose, a horn,
A furry face, a scaly back,
He wouldn't feel such scorn.
But Halloween time really hurts,
For scaring's such a task.
He's just like anybody else-
He has to wear a mask.
